The Tri-City Dust Devils lost their fourth Northwest League game in a row Saturday in Hillsboro, 6-3 to the Hops, but got some help from the South Division, which swept the North to keep Tri-City from dropping in the standings.
The Dust Devils (6-10 second-half) remain just two games behind first-place Everett (8-8) in the second-half standings, meaning they are still within striking distance of a playoff spot.
Tri-City took a 2-0 lead in the third on Ashley Graeter’s two-run double and made it 3-0 in the fourth on Sean Dwyer’s RBI single.
But the Hops scored six unanswered runs, four off reliever Troy Neiman (1-1). J.R. Bradley (1-2) got the win for Hillsboro.
