The Tri-City Dust devils dropped the final contest of a five-game series In Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday, losing 3-2 in 10 innings to the Canadians in Northwest League baseball action.
Tri-City put together a 2-0 lead via runs in the top of the sixth and eighth innings, but Vancouver eked out two runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game.
Vancouver scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th when Dust Devils reliever Josh Hungerman’s wild pitch scored Nicholas Baligod.
Derek Jones scored for the Dust Devils in the sixth, reaching home on Jordan Ribera’s groundout to first to put the first run on the board.

And Ribera came back with a vengeance in the eighth, slamming a line-drive double to right field. He moved to third on a Dillon Thomas single, and scored on Matt Argyropolous’ sacrifice fly to right field.
But Vancouver closed the gap in the ninth with runs from Balbino Fuenmayor and Dalton Pompey.
It was the fourth straight loss for the Dust Devils. Tri-City returns to Gesa Stadium with a 7:15 p.m. game against Yakima today.
