KENNEWICK -- A strong defensive effort helped Southridge earn its first CBBN 3A win of the young season in a 2-0 shutout of visiting Pasco on Tuesday.
Brett Konzek scored in the 19th minute and Jake Zoulek in the 78th for Southridge (2-1, 1-1). James Fort made nine saves in goal for the Suns.
"It's a big win," Southridge coach Chip Elfering said. "Jake Zoulek moved and played some really good defense and James Fort came up huge with a lot of saves. Overall, a great defensive effort."
