PROSSER -- Rene Solorio had two goals and an assist, punching in the game-winner for Chiawana with 2 minutes left in regulation after host Prosser erased a 2-0 halftime deficit.
"We pretty much dominated the run of play in the first half and moved the ball pretty well," said Riverhawks coach Rich Zoller, who used to coach the Mustangs. "Prosser came back in the second half, and I think we had a little bit of a letdown. But I give our kids a lot of credit. They hung in there and got the winning goal at the end."
Brothers Gustavo and Martin Madrigal notched goals for Prosser.
This was just the start of a busy week for Chiawana, which entertains Lewis & Clark on Wednesday, then plays host to rival Pasco on Thursday before opening league play against Walla Walla on Saturday.
