Weather: 38 degrees, clear, no precipitation, NE wind at 4 mph
Notes: The Bombers won their eighth consecutive game last week on the strength of their powerful running game and a strong defensive effort. They will need that double-whammy again today if they hope to win on the road. ... Richland should have a big-time advantage on the lines and if it can use its size advantage it could negate the Eagles’ speed advantage. ... Federal Way runs the ball a lot and will present the Bombers with some matchup issues, but the balance of Richland’s offense will give Federal Way some problems. ... Federal Way took down two-time defending state champion Skyline last week. so it is obviously no slouch. ... McClatcher, a junior, is a sought after recruit with offers in hand from Arizona State, Boise State, UCLA, Utah and Washington, among others.
Prediction: Richland 28, Federal Way 24

Up next: Host the winner of Sumner-Lynden in the semis
Players to watch: Othello, RB Tanner Wagner; FB Josiah Peterson. Ellensburg, RB Gabe Caskey, QB Donny Ellersick.
Weather: 37 degrees, partly cloudy, no precipitation, ESE winds at 2 mph
Notes: The regular-season matchup between these two teams was one of the closest games the Bulldogs have played this season, and even then Ellensburg won 31-14. ... Othello’s Peterson did miss the first game between the teams and his presence Saturday should help the Huskies control time of possession a little bit better, thanks to the 1-2 punch of him and Wagner. ... Wagner is leading the CWAC in rushing yards this season and has helped the Huskies reach the same round they did a year ago. Last season, they lost to Prosser in this round, dropping a tight game after starting quarterback David Garza was injured.
Prediction: Ellensburg 21, Othello 19
