Notes: The Braves are coming off their first loss of the season, a four-overtime thriller. While it was a tough loss to swallow, playing in a tight game should pay dividends down the road. ... This will be a matchup between the two best offenses and two of the best defenses in the league. Kamiakin is second in total offense, averaging 445.8 yards per game, while Chiawana is allowing just 189.8 yards per contest. Something will have to give there. ... The Riverhawks cemented that they are the real deal with their win last week. Playing at Wenatchee is always tough and the Panthers were a top-10 ranked team, but Chiawana rolled up nearly 500 yards rushing. ... Junior Austin Urlacher returned after missing the first four game and rushed 16 times for 191 yards. Chiawana now has Urlacher and Lozano in the backfield to go with its myriad weapons offensively.

Notes: The Suns spread out the offense last week, as Ealy-Thomas threw for 159 yards and a touchdown, completing passes to six receivers. Southridge also had three rushers with more than 58 yards. ... Last season, Hermiston surprised some folks with their housing of Southridge. The Suns will be ready tonight, though their secondary will be tested. Southridge has given up 908 yards through the air this season, the most in the Mid-Col and Hermiston has had success passing the ball. ... Contreras has been the biggest star for the Bulldogs. He had just a handful of catches a season ago, but has exploded onto the scene this year, including a 12 reception, 222-yard game against Hillsboro on Sept. 6 and an 8 catch, 207-yard game against Lewiston.
