The state semifinal playoff pairings are set, and Lampson Stadium in Kennewick will be the place to be.
Royal (12-0) will face River View (11-1) at 11 a.m. in a Class 1A game, Waitsburg-Prescott (11-1) and Lind-Ritzville-Sprague (11-0) will play at 2 p.m. in a Class 2B game, and then Prosser (11-1) will square off with Tumwater (11-1) at 5 p.m. in a Class 2A matchup.
Liberty Christian (12-0) will play Cusick (12-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane in a Class 1B semifinal.
The pairings were finalized Sunday by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
Prosser knocked off top-ranked Othello 15-14 in a quarterfinal game at Lampson on Saturday. The Mustangs advanced to the semifinals in 2011, losing 50-14 to Archbishop Murphy. Prosser defeated Tumwater 24-13 in 1999 in the quarterfinals, en route to the Class 3A state championship.
Royal and River View are playing for the second time this season. Royal handed the Panthers their only loss of the season, 39-7 victory in Royal City. The Knights are back into the semifinals for the first time since 2008 when they lost 34-20 to Cashmere. River View advanced past the quarterfinals with a 14-0 win over Quincy on Saturday. It is the first time in school history the Panthers have made it to the semifinals.
Waitsburg-Prescott is back in the semifinals a year after capturing the Class 2B state title. The Cardinals hammered Reardan 39-12 on Saturday in Spokane Valley. They will face a stiff test in Lind-Ritzville-Sprague, which held off DeSales 21-14 on Saturday.
