Josiah Peterson, RB, Othello
Starting in place of injured Tanner Wagner, Peterson rushed for 100 yards on 22 carries, scoring three touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 30-14 victory over rival Prosser in a showdown of top-10 ranked teams. Peterson scored on runs of 2, 3 and 1 yards.
Kevin Del-Angel, LB, Southridge
Recorded two sacks and helped lead the Suns defense to a stifling second half in a 16-15 victory against Kennewick at Lampson Stadium, helping keep Southridge undefeated. The Suns held the Lions offense to 60 yards on Kennewick’s first four drives of the second half, helping Southridge rally from a 9-0 hole.
Austin Forsyth, QB, Hanford
Had his best game of the young season, finishing 8-for-17 for 164 yards with a touchdown pass as the Falcons held off Pasco High in a 24-16 victory at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco.
Jonah Hoe, RB, Walla Walla
Rushed for 274 yards on a whopping 36 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Blue Devils held off Davis in a 28-18 nonleague road victory. Hoe scored on runs of 3, 3, 9 and 2, providing all the offense for Walla Walla.
Jeremiah Cox, QB, DeSales
Rushed for three touchdowns and threw for two more, as the Irish routed Mabton 48-0 and continued his team on a collision course for a showdown with defending Class 2B state champion Waitsburg-Prescott in two weeks. Cox rushed for 54 yards on three carries and was 14-for-20 for 209 yards passing.
