Last playoff berth: 2010.

Projected starters (returners in bold)
Others to watch: WR Weber; WR Graff; TE/DE Christian Penny, So. (6-3, 210); OL Cristian Davidson, Jr. (6-1, 245).
-- The Riverhawks' back-to-back run to the postseason (state in 2010, regionals in 2011) is turned over to a junior- and sophomore-dominated team, though nine of those juniors are returning starters.
-- Zamora had plenty of safety nets as a sophomore. Now it is his turn to be a leader on the offense. The receivers are thin on experience, though the transfer of Lozano and Avery from Pasco will be a big help.
-- Bell was a gem as an injury fill-in last year -- 665 yards and 7 TDs in less than half a season. The all-junior O-line has three new faces, but Maughan is raising eyes around the state.
-- The front seven must carry the load early on in front of an inexperienced secondary -- that shouldn't be a problem with five returning starters. Weber could be a special player.
Most teams with just three senior starters would be thinking about next season. But the Riverhawks are loaded for bear this year. Even the "new" offensive linemen were defensive starters last season.
"The juniors basically have stepped up to be leaders," Steve Graff said.
Chiawana has a rare combination of youth and experience that could make for an interesting couple of seasons.
