Connor O'Neil and Dan Neville combined on a three-hitter, and Southridge took advantage of three Richland errors in a 3-2 nonleague baseball victory Monday at Bomber Field.
"Pitchers on both teams threw well enough to win," said Richland coach Ben Jacobs. "We dropped a routine flyball in the outfield that would have ended the (third) inning, and that got the ball rolling for them."
The Suns scored twice in the top of the third and added another run in the fourth. Dillon Klute drove in both runs for the Bombers, and Gibson McGeorge added a pinch-hit double.
"There were only three line drives to the outfield. All the rest were ground balls," Jacobs said. "It was one of those deals. Just an ugly game."
