KENNEWICK -- Kamiakin senior Jesse Houser gave up one hit and struck out eight over four innings as the Braves opened their season with a 4-0 victory Friday over Heritage at LaPierre Field.
Houser, and pitchers Nolan Earley and David Marshall, combined to give up only two hits and one walk on the day.
"I thought we played a pretty solid game," Kamiakin coach Ryan Carter said. "We pitched really well, had timely hitting and made the most of the routine plays.
Houser performed well on offense as well, hitting a triple and driving in a run. Kamiakin junior Logan Jackson was 2-for-3 at the plate.

Jarrod Molnaa struck out five Cadets over a two inning residency on the mound, and Trek Stemp produced two doubles in 3-for-4 appearances at the plate.
