Richland won its third Mukilteo Invite team title with a score of 483.50 points, cruising past runner-up Kamiak (378) and Bellevue (353).
Kamiakin was the next-highest-scoring Mid-Columbia school, finishing sixth with 188.50 points.
Richland’s McKenzie Schroder won the 200-yard freestyle in a Class 4A state-qualifying time of 1 minute, 59.26 seconds. She also qualified for state with her second-place time of 54.81 in the 100 free.
Schroder and Claire Schaef, who won the 500 free, were on the first-place 400 free relay team with Lauren Hall and Alyssa Musick. They clocked in at a state-qualifying time of 3:45.01.
The Mukilteo Invite was held at Kamiak High School instead of the usual host, Federal Way’s Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center, which is undergoing renovations.
The Islanders came to Kennewick last month and won the Mid-Columbia Invitational.
