The Tri-Cities will host 127 girls fastpitch softball teams beginning today in the Washington National Softball Association state tournament.
The event is actually nine separate tournaments divided among age groups and levels: the 18U, which will have 12 teams, included two from the Tri-Cities in the Focus and Menace; the 16A, with eight teams; the 16B, with 12 teams; the 14A, with 13 teams; the 14B, with 24 teams; the 12A, with 11 teams; the 12B, with 28 teams; the 10A, with six teams; and the 10B, with 13 teams.
Think of every softball complex in the Tri-Cities, and its being used for this event: TRAC in Pasco, Columbia Playfield, the Southridge Athletic Complex, the Kennewick Civic Center, and Lawrence Scott Park.
Only Horn Rapids isn’t being used for this event.
