The Mid-Columbia Athletes of the Week for September 21, 2010.
Tim Rude, Senior, Hermiston
Never miss a local story.
Rude bided his time for the last two seasons, working behind All-IMC quarterback Junior Ena.
But the Bulldogs senior made a name for himself Friday, passing for 396 yards and seven touchdowns -- breaking Ena’s existing school records of 6 TDs and 364 yards -- in a 58-23 win over Benson Tech.
“I pride myself in getting the ball to all my receivers,” Rude said. “Any of them can get open for a big play at any moment.”
