Edmonds women 3, CBC 0: The Tritons scored three goals in the final 17 minutes to hold off the visiting Hawks in an NWAACC tournament quarterfinal on Saturday.
The Hawks gave up the first goal in the 73rd minute, and then moved some defenders up to try and get an equalizer, leaving them a bit exposed in the back.
“I think we had a great season,” CBC coach Matt Mills said. “Making it to the quarterfinals for the fifth time in seven years. We had a really strong performance tonight against a really good Edmonds side.
“It was a great season and the girls put in a lot of effort.”

Walla Walla Women 3, Everett 0: Olivia Rodgers scored two goals, and Aiko Johnson recorded her 13th shutout in goal as the Warrior women returned to the NWAACC semifinals for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.
Walla Walla (19-1-1), which won three consecutive NWAACC titles from 2009-2011 under coach Chad Bodnar, will face Peninsula (18-2) — a 2-1 winner over Whatcom — at 1 p.m. Saturday at Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila.
Tash Anderson scored a third goal for the Warriors in the 74th minute.

Walla Walla men 2, Whatcom 1: Warriors forward Cesar Rodriguez scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time, breaking a 1-1 tie to send Walla Walla to the NWAACC semifinals in Tukwila for the second consecutive season.
Mario Guizar, a Kamiakin graduate, scored the game’s first goal — and his 17th of the season — in the 56th minute to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Daniel Pinkerton tied the score for Whatcom at 1 in the 65th minute.
In a rematch of last season’s NWAACC championship, Walla Walla (14-1-3) will face Peninsula (19-0-2), a 2-1 winner over Edmonds, at 6 p.m. Saturday at Starfire Soccer Complex.
