WALLA WALLA -- The Columbia Basin College softball team has at least another game left in it.
The Hawks dropped their final two regular-season games to Walla Walla on Saturday, 9-1 and 4-1, but they will move on to a one-game playoff Tuesday in Pasco against Spokane after tying with the Sasquatch for fourth place in the NWAACC East Region. Spokane split a doubleheader with Big Bend to finish the season 14-14.
Dara Kosanke pitched both games for Walla Walla (23-5). The Warriors claimed the East Region's No. 1 seed and will play at 11:30 a.m. Friday against Lower Columbia, the South's No. 4 team, in Portland.
Wenatchee Valley (23-5) is the East's No. 2 seed, and Treasure Valley (17-11) captured the third seed.
Debbie Molsbarger and Taylor Bakos took the losses for Columbia Basin. Molsbarger had a double in Game 1, and Chani Brisby went 2-for-3 with a double in Game 2.
