BOISE — Kellen Moore spent an entire season recognizing coverages and breaking down defenses as Boise State’s record-breaking quarterback.
It was Moore’s turn to be recognized Tuesday. The sophomore from Prosser was named to the Associated Press All-America third team.
Moore helped lead the Broncos (13-0) to their second straight undefeated regular season, completing 64.8 percent of his passes for 3,325 yards and a school-record 39 touchdowns with just three interceptions.
Also named to the team were James Rodgers (second-team all-purpose) and Jacquizz Rodgers (third-team running back) of Oregon State, and LaMichael James (third-team RB) of Oregon.
Never miss a local story.
Moore broke the Boise State single season touchdown pass record, which was previously set by Bart Hendricks in 2000 (35). He currently leads the nation in pass efficiency rating (167.35) and is second in TD throws.
