1997 -- Southridge's first volleyball match in school history didn't go so well, a 15-7, 15-2, 15-5 loss to Pasco. Tess Weigel had six kills, two digs and seven assists to lead a very young Suns squad. Jaelee Affleck's serving was a key for the Bulldogs.
1992 -- Kamiakin's second-half rally againt Eisenhower comes up short after Derek Kimble returned a kickoff 83 yards for a score in the Braves' 34-27 loss at KHS Stadium. The Braves, who trailed 26-6 at half, had just pulled within 26-20 on Kelley Pratt's 10-yard strike to Chris Whitemarsh. Jacob Henke's 12 catches (for 145 yards) were a Kamiakin record.
