* 1966 -- Pasco junior Chuck Madison performed two leaping circus pass interceptions -- including a key grab with three minutes remaining -- and interior line play by 210-pound senior defensive tackle Charles Quigley -- who twice belted Davis QB Dennis Jacobsen for big losses on pass plays and was instrumental in stopping the charges of 210-pound fullback Henry Roach, including nine tackles -- were just two of the many highlights of a crucial 12-9 victory over Davis in Yakima which painted the Bulldogs back into the Big Eight Conference championship contention picture.
* 1995 -- Meotis Erikson scored two goals to lead Kamiakin to a 6-0 win over Pasco at Edgar Brown Stadium as the Braves clinched their fifth consecutive Big Nine title.
Meanwhile, at Lampson Stadium, Richland freshman Hope Solo headed a loose ball into the net past Kennewick keeper Gretchen Mensinger just 5:27 into the second half and the Bombers held on for a 1-0 victory over the Lions. The win allowed Richland to leapfrog into second place over Kennewick in the Big Nine Conference standings.
