Just got off the phone a little bit ago with Riverhawks coach Steve Graff.
He told me that sophomore WR/DB Miquiyah Zamora, one of the top young talents in the state, is done for the season after breaking his foot in the first half of Chiawana's 31-6 loss last Friday to Eisenhower.
"You look at the play on film, and it looks like nothing," Graff said. "He caught the ball in the middle of the field and gets tackled."
It's the same foot that Zamora had in a boot all spring and kept him out of the Tri-Cities camp. He was cleared to play in the middle of the summer and through three weeks was one of the CBBN's top offensive threats with 18 catches for 191 yards and a touchdown.
Til next time ...
