Have to be at the Lamp tonight for the Thursday Night special -- Sunnyside at Kennewick.
These are two teams that are off to 0-2 starts, and each followed up promising openers -- Sunnyside at Hanford, Kennewick vs. South Kitsap at the Emerald City Kickoff Classic -- by dropping their CBBN Columbia openers.
Sunnyside gave Southridge a battle for most of three quarters, while Kennewick struggled at the Apple Bowl against Wenatchee.
So while I think the Grizzlies are playing better, I see the Lions as the more desperate team tonight. Kennewick knows it can't afford to lose this one at home if it wants a shot at the playoffs -- not with Davis playing much improved football this fall.
For that reason, I give Kennewick the edge, 28-27.
I'll hit the rest of the games later.
Til next time ...
