All-state boys soccer teams announced

Having coordinated the voting for the spring sports all-state teams for a few years now, it's becoming a lot easier to run.

If I remember right, the first year I did this, the teams weren't announced until after the Fourth of July. Oops.

This might be the earliest yet that I've been able to get this all done, and for that, I want to thank my brethren in the media, who voted in record numbers, and the athletic directors and secretaries who provided me with the all-league teams in a timely fashion.

The ground rules are simple. First-team all-league selections, as well as league MVPs (in those leagues that separate them out), are eligible for the ballot, with a few exceptions.

Ballots are sent out to media throughout the state. A player must receive a minimum of two votes to be eligible for honorable mention.

Because of the bigger numbers of ballots returned, that allowed for more honorable mention selections than in years past.

At the end, I will include the vote tallies for the MVPs.

Without further ado, here are this year's all-state boys soccer teams
