Jeremy Dutton makes a living off of reading other people's stories and designing pages you'll want to look at. He lives in Kennewick and dreams of the day when the TC gets an indie record store to feed his nasty record buying habit.

Let's get this party started

GEORGE, Wash. — I’m finally here at Sasquatch after a trans-Canadian horror story that involved me losing a lot of sleep and my cell phone.

Turns out you can have a little too much love for band (in this case R.E.M.) as I braved the border crossing early this morning. But that’s another story.

I walked into the Gorge Amphitheater today to hear the waning moments of The Whigs (who we might be hearing more from later). And as I’m writing this the pounding beats of Ozomatli are rocking the trailer.

My schedule for the remainder of the evening will be to follow Kathleen Edwards (3:45 p.m.), Destroyer (4:45 p.m.) New Pornographers (5:25 p.m.), Breeders (8:45 p.m.) and R.E.M. (10 p.m.).

The lame part of festivals, if you’re looking for a complaint, is that you have to make sacrifices.

One of them would have been Modest Mouse. Luckily, I saw them last night — they opened for R.E.M.
