Sasquatch is here...and it'll be like you're there

The odyssey begins. The Sasquatch Music Festival has arrived. I've been marking down the days and making mental notes of how this is all going to play out. Tent ... check. Gallons upon gallons of water ... check. Notebook, camera ... check. Band schedules ... check.

Looks like I'm ready to go.

Oh, wait, I forgot one thing: You.

Yep, this time you can come along for the ride. The Herald is sending me along with all the gear necessary to become a one-man media machine. I'm setting up camp at The Gorge on Saturday afternoon and will then send back all sorts of news on the goings-on of the festival. You can expect pictures, live blogging and maybe even some video of upcoming bands along with that keen insight you've grown to love in this space. Wanna know how Death Cab for Cutie's set was? Well, I'll tell you. Photos of crazy, shirtless hippies? I'll probably take more than one. Just check out tricityherald.com/papercuts and check back all weekend. This all, of course, depends on if I can remember how all of this gear works.

If you're a procrastinator and still are looking to go, I confirmed this week with a Sasquatch representative that there's still hope. If you've been skunked online, more one-day tickets will be released on each day of the show -- Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

So I'll see you there ... or right back here.
