Here we go again ...
It seems like every time I receive a ballot recently some government entity wants more tax dollars. Between school districts, police, fire, justice, recreation and now a conservation tax those nickel and dimes are adding up. Their reasoning seems to be it is only so many dollars per thousand evaluation or only pennies on each dollar spent.
Many people are low income or on fixed income and those little increases take a bite out of their standard of living.
We have too many volunteer boards pursuing their own interests and want everyone else to pay for them.
It is about time voters in Benton County use their votes to say “enough is enough”
