So Dan Newhouse has come out with his "I'm more to the right than you are" commercials, touting his gun rights credentials (ignoring the fact that under President Obama, gun owners can now take their guns into national parks).
Clint Didier is giving away guns and vowing to not bring additional federal money into the 4th Congressional District. How's that going to affect your paycheck or business? Other Republican candidates are also moving as far to the right as they can because they think that's where the votes are.
No one seems to be looking at the actual credentials of the various candidates. There's a mixture of legislative and business conservatives, most with little to show for in the way of a legislative track record. However, look at Estakio Beltran.
Here's a Yakima Valley product who graduated from Gonzaga University, worked for Maria Cantwell as a legislative aid, as well as an aid for a California congressman. When the congressman retired, Beltran earned a degree from Columbia University in public administration. He has already acquired more congressional legislative experience than all of his opponents.
I urge you cast your primary ballot vote for Estakio Beltran -- congressional experience that will make a difference for average Americans who need it most.
