Haler has helped WSU Tri-Cities become a 4-year campus; worked to secure funding for WSU-TC's Bioproducts Building, Star Researcher Program, and Wine Science Center; authored a bill for Kennewick/Richland parkway center economic development opportunities ; secured funding for a Port of Benton rail spur and associated jobs; led legislation reducing Columbia Generating Station production costs; helped overturn a bill that would have prevented our state from producing medical isotopes; led an effort to equalize small wine grape grower/producer liens with that of major growers/producers; worked to secure funding for the Walter Clore Wine&Culinary Center in Prosser; helped defeat a bill that would have closed some Prosser/Ki-B schools; worked to secure funding for the CBC/Kadlec nursing and health sciences facility; and worked to secure infrastructure funding for four PNNL laboratories.
