A public safety tax increase? Really?
The constitution of this great state clearly sets forth the services state government must provide. Public safety and education are high on the list and merit priority during fiscal planning. Asking for a tax increase to pay for public safety services is a clear indicator that the legislature has been, and continues to be, fiscally irresponsible. Until the legislature solves the underlying inability to prioritize the budget, I'm not voting to increase taxes.
All a tax increase will do is pour more sand down the proverbial rat hole.
