In all fairness to congressional candidate Clint Didier and his "protect the other nine" (amendments) gaffe, I suspect it was a case of "making sure your brain is engaged before putting your mouth in gear."
He may have been thinking of the first 10 amendments to The Constitution, the Bill of Rights.
Either that or, like so many other "conservatives," he was confusing our Constitution with the 10 commandments.
In any case, Mr. Didier should pack it in and stop wasting his money and the money of his backers. He has run for public office enough times now that he should take the hint. Even in an environment as conservative as Eastern Washington, he doesn't have what it takes.
