Kennewick port: Barnes
I have known Don Barnes since the mid-1980s, teaming up with him on real estate transactions, both professionally as well as personally.
I have found Don's honesty and sincerity qualities that I regard and appreciate.
Don's ability to reason, maintain calmness, listen, follow through, and his responsiveness makes it so easy for me to team up with him.
I feel putting Don's qualities to work for our community as a Port of Kennewick commissioner would be an excellent choice.
Kennewick city: Britain
I am writing to endorse Don Britain for Kennewick City Council. I have known Don for many years. He is an upstanding man. I am proud to call him a friend.
As I have researched the candidates, I found out that Don Britain is only the second councilman to earn the Certificate of Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities. And he did this in his first term on the council. Plus, Don was chosen by his fellow councilmen to be mayor pro-tem, again during his first term on the council. It is obvious Don takes his city leadership role seriously.
We need people like Don representing us on important decisions facing Kennewick. Don has worked hard to bring family-wage jobs and economic development to Kennewick while maintaining fiscal responsibility. We need to continue on this course.
Please vote for Don Britain, Kennewick City Council. Check out his website britain4council.com
KPHD board: Fehr
I have known Rick Fehr for a number of years and he is an outstanding young man who believes in working hard and living within his means. Rick would do the same with tax payers' money. Rick is a strong family man, extremely honest and devoted to any cause he signs up for.
Rick will be a tremendous asset on the KGH board. Please join me in voting for Rick Fehr for KPHD board.
Pasco Proposition 1: Yes
Note to voters in Pasco: Some people seem to be confused about Propositions 1 and 2. The real difference between them is that Proposition 2 is going to affect you and your way of governing. Proposition 1 will only affect property owners in some recently annexed neighborhoods -- it is only to let us vote on being in the city. This was the way it was for many years and was fair to all. Taking in people who don't want it is wrong without a majority vote. You hear about heavy-handed government at the national level. Well, how about it here in Pasco?
KPHD board: Briggs
Hard working, dedicated, honest, compassionate, intelligent, and did I mention she's a fantastic mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Added to all of that she's also an excellent mother-in-law and she types really fast!
For all you do for the community and our family thanks, Mom, great job! Vote for Briggs, KPHD commissioner Pos. 5
