I recently made the difficult decision of resigning from the Pasco School Board because the demands of my job made it impossible for me to attend the meetings. Serving the Pasco children in this capacity is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of my life. I served with the single purpose of providing all Pasco students with a quality education, and I'm proud to say that this same purpose is what drives my peers.
The current members showed interest and served Pasco children as volunteers before they joined the board, so you know they truly care about our children's education and are not just answering the call of a partisan political agenda. They do our children's bidding, not that of a power hungry political party.
Do a little research before you vote, and you'll learn of the accomplishments and accolades the Pasco School District has received during the past few years. You might also learn the truth about the falsehoods the partisan political agenda has spread about the district and on which, unfortunately, some of the opposing candidates are running.
Please keep the Pasco School Board of Directors nonpartisan. Please retain Darrell Toombs, Bill Leggett, and Sherry Lancon.
Never miss a local story.
