Go see '39 Steps'
I highly recommend The 39 Steps, which continues next weekend at the Richland Players.
My wife and I attended the play, and we laughed, and we laughed. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and it was a most pleasant experience to walk out of the theater still smiling -- and laughing.
Brianna Sacry, Michael Thomas, Sam Shick and Chris Wilson were incredible actors/actresses, comedians and stunt performers. It was absolutely amazing how they held our rapt attention through 33 scene changes.
Never miss a local story.
If Oscars were to be presented to community theater performers, each of those four should be nominated -- and each should win.
I think that it is unfortunate that backpedaling is not offered as an Olympic sport. If it was and President Obama chose to enter, he would surely have a gold medal to go with his Nobel Peace Prize. Just a couple examples to illustrate his superb skill:
If Syria saw movement or usage of chemical weapons, it would constitute crossing a red line with serious consequences.
I did not say that a red line had been drawn; the international community did that.
You see how his skill level has increased. He used to only blame Bush, now he blames the whole world.
Syria must be punished for using chemical weapons. I have moved four destroyers off the coast of Syria and they will launch missiles on my command.
Although I have the authority to act, I think that it would be better if I had Congress' concurrence. Timing shouldn't be important. If it takes a day, a week or a month that would be OK.
There is much more, but I think that you get the message. The final knell is tolling my friends. Americans have tolerated immoral, corrupt, or incompetent presidents but they will never tolerate a weak president who brings shame to their land.
