I knew we made the right decision in sending Sharon Brown to the state Legislature to replace me as senator for the 8th Legislative District when I talked to my colleagues several months after Sharon's arrival in Olympia, and they all gave me great reviews of her work.
She was able to get several bills signed into legislation that will directly affect businesses right here in the Tri-Cities. She did this through a lot of long hours and hard work. Sharon was able to get six bills signed into law. She worked hard to develop relationships on both sides of the aisle, which is how she was able to navigate successfully through the process.
She refuses to give up when others have called it a day. That was evident when against all odds she was able to obtain $5.4 million to help Delta, our local STEM high school. It was not unusual to see Sharon working well into the night. Often she was the last one to leave the building. She has the dedication we need in a state senator and she already has proven results. Join me in returning Sharon Brown to the state Senate.
