Sharon Brown has served the 8th Legislative District well during her crash course introduction to the state Senate. Her bills that were signed into law will help businesses operate more smoothly while charting the course through government regulations. That means business owners can spend their time and money on operations and job creation. One of her bills specifically will help bring manufacturing back to this state and this district. As we try to diversify our local economy, we need to do all that we can to bring manufacturing to this area. Sharon is being strategic in her efforts to accomplish this.
I was also very impressed with what Sharon accomplished while she was mayor pro tem of the city of Kennewick. She helped to establish the local revitalization area which is now Southridge. Those ballfields and indoor sports pavilion generated almost $5 million from tourism in less than one year. It also helped to spur private development all around the Southridge area.
Sharon Brown is working hard in Olympia for our community and deserves to be elected to retain her seat!
