I see our “Representative” Dan Newhouse took to the House floor recently to add his voice to those attempting to overturn the Affordable Care Act.
“Representative” Newhouse and his family now are covered by a Cadillac health care plan paid for by taxpayers. He has decided that those of us with previously existing conditions, the working poor, and those hired as part-time workers to allow employers to dodge the health insurance mandate, don’t need health care. He wants to end health care for college students whose health care is dependent on their parents’ policy.
While we have heard, for years now, promises by the Republican Party that they would bring forth a plan to replace the ACA, no one has stepped forward with any kind of solution that would protect those covered by the ACA. Rather, any “replacement” plan simply ends protections from predatory health insurance companies.
It’s time to replace “Representative” Newhouse.
