Would it be too much trouble to just get over ourselves about marijuana? People in Washington and Colorado voted to legalize it because they don't believe the bull-bleep from the government about marijuana as a Schedule 1 narcotic -- highly addictive and no medicinal value. It's just simply a load of political nonsense to justify continuing the so-called "war on drugs."
Note to Kennewick Planning Commission and City Council: People are going to buy marijuana somewhere. They do now and will continue to do so. Most would prefer to do it legally. I don't use marijuana. Never have. But, I know enough people who do to know that the lies we tell our kids about marijuana destroy our credibility about the whole subject of drugs -- including the ones that really are highly addictive and have no medical value.
