I would like to speak about the Pasco School boundaries issue. As a 2012 graduate of Pasco High, I would like to be the first to admit that, at first, I was disappointed with the fact that I was forced to stay at Pasco High while most of my friends left to Chiawana. However, I now realize how beneficial it was for me to stay at Pasco High. If it weren't for the boundaries, I would have never found myself the way I was forced to. I was given a fresh start; an opportunity to be able to be who I wanted to be and not like the people I surrounded myself with.
It concerns me that so many people think negatively on my former school. Who is to judge which school is better? There is a reason it appears Chiawana is a "more successful" school. I would prefer people stop focusing on one school to send their kids to and focus on supporting Pasco Schools as a whole!
Your children being forced to go to a different school than their friends isn't going to ruin their lives. Don't change the boundaries; change your attitude.
