In your newspaper today (Aug. 12) I gleaned a few of the following headlines: "U.S. arming Kurds," "FBI to probe St. Louis shooting," "Gaza cease-fire takes hold," "Obama, Democrats get low marks," "6 killed in Houston-area by driver fleeing police," "Rapper Mix-A-Lot is 51," and "The Hobby Lobby Decision."
None were quite as effecting as "Robin Williams dead at 63."
Why is it I kind of felt this personally? Both he and Jonathan Winters showed me how, despite the everyday conflicts of the human race, the medicine of laughter can help me through these blots of on-going misery, days laced with tragedy and suffering.
But not today.
