Why vote? (I still do) But the tail wags the dog. A reply letter several years ago from Sen. Cantwell told me that she and Congress know better what is good for the people than we do. So what if we disagree?
We were told by one of our writers of the Constitution that it was only good "for a Christian and moral people. For all others it is totally inadequate." We have become a nation of "others" who want to get, rather than give or even share. As long as we get, why look at issues. Your question is an study of morality and responsibility.
This president can easily set up martial law and then the freedom we have had to fight for these past 400 years will be gone. Politics is a slow-moving mess and we are a "right now" generation. Watch the movies, Reds, Dr. Zhivago and Schindler's List in that order if you want a quick peek at our plight if we don't vote responsibly.
