The conflict in Israel requires a "do over." A mistake was made back at the end of WWII by the U.N. in 1947.
It is untenable to have two nations coexisting in fragmented territories. A permanent solution to the current warzone would be to have a neutral international arbitrator (the U.N.) take the current territories of Israel, Gaza and the West Bank and come up with a percentage of land that constitutes the West Bank and Gaza.
Take that percentage and redistribute the land so that there is a continuous region for Israel and a continuous region for the Palestinians.
This is the logical solution that adults who value their children above warfare need to sacrificially implement for a lasting peace in the region with independent sovereignty and responsibility to live peaceably with neighboring countries.
It is irresponsible to perpetually be at war when there is a practicable solution implemented worldwide. No more innocent children should be bombed to death because adults cannot get this right. Citizens from both countries could be granted an open visa to visit the "sister state" for religious reasons. Violations would be responded to by a regional/international judicial system leading to achievable peace.
