In May, the Tri-City Herald published my letter to the editor regarding the fact that state government Republicans are using the 8th District 2014 session review newsletter for Republican political propaganda using taxpayer dollars. Since then I have spoken to Larry Haler and Sharon Brown after much prodding -- not a single response or word from Brad Klippert. Also, I still have not yet received an answer to my question on how much the newsletter costs to be published, despite my written request and verbal conversation to get that answered. I believe that the cost of the newsletter must come from the political party funding, not taxpayers money.
If I cannot receive a response despite much prodding, how can anyone expect to get anything out of these Republicans running for state office? If Republicans want to publish a newsletter for political gain, their political party must pay for it as political propaganda separately, and not using any state taxpayer-funded newsletter.
The state of Washington needs to be reimbursed for that cost from these politicians. These Republicans are not being ethical and must not receive a single vote for being elected, as they are not representing the people in their district.
