Have you ever noticed that when all else fails, the cry for the community to help goes out along with the threat of not having or losing something that, according to the powers to be, we truly need?
When the city of Richland can build a $250,000 restroom in the park and can pound little plaques into property on street corners to inform the citizens as to how the name of this street came about, I am worried. I truly believe that money is being wasted, and if it were spent properly, it would go a very long way to cover the additional tax to add a policeman or fireman or whatever it is the city believes it needs.
The time for fiscal responsibility is long past due. Fiscal responsibility needs to be addressed from city government right through to federal government. These guardians of our safety and such need to learn that our money will run out quickly, and without "we the taxpayers," there are no government jobs.
