Thank you to Tapteal Greenway and volunteers who led 140 second-graders from Badger Mountain Elementary School on a field day through Amon Creek Nature Preserve recently.
Thank you to the school's second-grade staff for planning this wonderful event. The staff's realization that real-world experiences in nature are the most valuable learning experiences for our kids shows commitment to their education and well-being.
Taking time with our children to explore the preserve's unique flora and fauna, the Tri-Cities' most priceless classroom, is a gift that all teachers and parents can give to their kids. We should all be thankful that we have this beautiful place to enjoy and learn about nature.
