I assume the editorial board of the Tri-City Herald is aware that the Washington State Attorney General's position is that Initiative 502 does not require city and county jurisdictions to permit dope dealers to operate within their individual jurisdictions. This is precisely why the votes of Franklin County citizens do matter. The city council and the county commissioners have been provided a clear message by their constituents on this issue and their wishes should respected. The Pasco City Council should be commended for doing just that!
For those who do not concur with allowing Washington state municipalities and counties the freedom to choose whether or not to allow dope dealers to operate within their jurisdiction (which is the minority in Eastern Washington), I suggest you "stop whining" and pass a legal remedy that addresses your concerns.
