"It well may be that we will never meet again in this lifetime. So let me say before we part so much of me is made of what I've learned from you. You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart."
Those are words to my favorite song from the musical Wicked. As high school comes to an end, I would like to thank some of the many people who have helped me become the person I am today.
I'm so grateful for the constant support and love I receive from my family -- especially my mom, Michelle Carey. She gives up so much to be a stay-at-home mom and take care of our family.
I'm thankful for the teachers at Richland High school who have influenced me over the years. I've had Greg Fryhling all four years as a choir director, and I can't express enough how much I've learned from him! I'd also like to thank Heather Hull Hart, my community show choir director, for expanding my knowledge and helping me grow. One last thank you to the Class of 2014 of Richland High School! Thank you for changing my life for the better.
Never miss a local story.
