So far this spring I've had disintegrated fuel lines in a chainsaw, lawn mower and weed-eater. My motorcycle's fuel level float valve is gummed up and doesn't close, causing fuel to overflow and run out onto the ground and the idle jet is plugged so that doesn't work either and my boat isn't getting fuel to the carb.
I gave the lawn mower away. I replaced the fuel lines in the other two. I'm still working on the boat. When are we going to quit this insane ethanol fiasco? Recently the "news" was saying that the current "brilliant ones" have determined that this crap is worse for the atmosphere than good ol' gasoline.
I say put the corn and other ethanol stock back into the food chain and stop paying the subsidies it costs to make this junk. Same goes for wind and solar power subsidies. Why do we pay more for non-ethanol gas that is cheaper to make? Penalties. Ethanol is a boon for very few folks and a bane to the rest of us.
I'm searching out non-ethanol gas from now on even if it costs another forty cents per gallon. I've had it with this crap!
Never miss a local story.
