Among voters who tolerate the Bible's guidance; it's logical to assume that the teachings repeated most often, could be the most important.
The Bible's biggest emphasis is caring for the poor, commanded more than 120 times. The poor must never be slandered as "lazy" nor as "wanting to be poor." They include children, widows, the hungry, the homeless, the oppressed, the sick and disabled and the elderly. God honors them all. The wealthy are required to care for these marginalized people.
The Bible calls this "justice."
Therefore, I support candidates whose priority is caring for the poor. I repudiate political slogans, like "smaller government," and "lower taxes," which are designed to cheat the poor. The Bible is revolutionary; it's neither conservative nor liberal.
Never miss a local story.
