A thank you to Harvey Rodgers (Letters, March 18) and others who have written about the chip-and-seal project in Kennewick last year. This should be an embarrassment to the city of Kennewick.
The area around the Toyota Center and Three Rivers Convention Center has been touted by Kennewick as a premier entertainment center. Grandridge Boulevard runs directly past both and was part of the chip-and-seal program. It was a horrible job when completed last year but has become abysmal in less that a year. In addition to the severe erosion, lines were never repainted.
This is what the city offers as quality service worthy of taxpayer expense. I'm embarrassed for them.
