I could just turn the TV off, not read the newspaper or newsworthy magazines, but sticking my head in the sand will not make the realities of today's temptations affecting our children's lives go away.
I hurts me to the core! As a grandmother, it seems there is not much I can do. I am pleading with all parents of young children to supervise them as much as you can as well as pay attention to the friends they spend time with. Keep the communication lines open, let them know what your values are, as well as showing them how much you love them.
There are too many outside evil forces our children are being exposed to in this modern world of today; computers, cellphones, TV, alcohol and the incredible law that has legalized marijuana in Washington and elsewhere.
If the parents do not protect them, who will?
