As the largest employer in Kennewick, the school district embraces diversity and celebrates a variety of holidays, including Christmas. Each day, we welcome hundreds of families, community members and employees through our doors, with many different cultural backgrounds and beliefs. Our employees go to great lengths to make everyone feel welcome and included in seasonal celebrations.
If you walk through the district offices during December, you will experience many of the special touches and traditions our employees make to get in the Christmas spirit, including decorated hallways and office areas, Christmas trees, holiday wreathes, elaborate counter displays, and poinsettias.
Another long-standing tradition we have is an office Christmas lunch hosted by district administrators with an optional gift exchange so employees can celebrate and mingle with co-workers before heading home to families or on vacation.
We invite our community members to stop by the Administrative Support Center, and tour the building during the holiday season. We think you will find it hard not to get in the Christmas spirit.
Never miss a local story.
